GSPro costs $250 a year and reads five of the six launch monitors this site covers, so it is the default pick if you own a Windows gaming PC. On an iPad or a Mac, the pick is Awesome Golf at $159.99 a year or $349.99 once. Both are the vendors’ own listed prices on October 5, 2026.
GSPro for a gaming PC, Awesome Golf for a tablet
| Software | Pick it when | Listed price | Runs on | Our 6 monitors |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GSPro | The default for a Windows gaming PC: one flat fee, the widest monitor list here. | $250 / year | Windows 10 or 11 PC only | 5 of 6 |
| Awesome Golf | The pick for tablets and Macs, and the only lifetime price here. | $14.99 / month, $159.99 / year, or $349.99 lifetime | iPhone and iPad, Android, Windows, Mac (Apple Silicon), Chromebook | 5 of 6 |
| E6 Golf (2026) | For licensed courses and practice tools, if your monitor is on TruGolf’s list. | Improve $150, Play $300, Enjoy $450 (per year) | Windows PC (the older E6 CONNECT also runs on iPad and iPhone) | 3 of 6 |
| The Golf Club 2019 (TGC 2019) | One payment and done, but it reads only one of the six monitors this site covers. | $949 one-time at Top Shelf Golf | Windows PC only | 1 of 6 |

Your launch monitor decides the shortlist
Sim software reads shot data from the monitor. Each vendor keeps its own list of the monitors it will talk to, so start from the unit you own or plan to buy. A SkyTrak+ owner finds it on none of the four current lists; only the older E6 CONNECT names it.
If you haven’t picked a monitor, the launch monitor comparison sets the six units side by side on price and room size, software column included.
GSPro and Awesome Golf read five of six monitors; TGC 2019 reads one
“Yes” means the vendor names the monitor on its own compatibility list. “Not listed” means it doesn’t. Treat that as a reason to ask the vendor before you pay.

Two of the “Yes” cells carry a second bill. GSPro states that the Rapsodo MLM2PRO needs Rapsodo’s Premium Membership and the Bushnell Launch Pro needs Bushnell’s Gold subscription. Bushnell lists Gold at $499 a year, so a Launch Pro owner on GSPro pays $749 a year for the pair.
E6 comes in two generations. The 2026 release is Windows only, and its list leaves out every camera unit we cover except Square. The older E6 CONNECT, still on sale through TruGolf’s E6 portal, runs on PC and iPad, lists Foresight Sports among its tracking systems, and was announced for SkyTrak and SkyTrak+ in June 2023.
E6 CONNECT prices appear only after you log in to that portal. We’ve left them out.

The software line belongs in the build budget from day one. The golf simulator cost breakdown carries it as a recurring row next to the hardware.
GSPro and E6 want a graphics card; Awesome Golf runs on a tablet

A gaming PC adds $800 to $1,500 to a build, which is why the simulator package builds put GSPro only in the tiers that already include a PC. The starter build runs on a tablet you own.
