Six home golf launch monitors have a release date their manufacturer actually published: the Garmin Approach G82 (January 2026), SkyTrak ST MAX (October 2025), FlightScope Mevo Gen2 (August 2025), Foresight GC3S (January 2025), Garmin Approach R50 (November 2024) and Garmin Approach R10 (August 2021). Ten other current units have no manufacturer-published date at all.
How to read this page
Dating a launch monitor is harder than it sounds. Most brands in this category never publish a press release, and the ones that do rarely say when a unit shipped as opposed to when it was announced. We went through sixteen current units on 2026-09-22 and looked only at pages the manufacturer controls: newsroom posts, press releases and dated brand blog posts. Six had a date. Ten did not.
So the table below is short on purpose. It is not a ranking and it is not the whole market. It is every unit whose release timing we can point at a manufacturer page for, newest first, with the date evidence quoted underneath each row. The ten we could not date are listed after it with their live product pages, so nothing is hidden, and with the reason the date is missing.
Where a manufacturer contradicts itself we print the contradiction instead of picking a side. That happens once in this table, on the SkyTrak ST MAX, and it is noted on the row.

Garmin announced the G82 but did not publish an availability date, so this row is an announcement date. It is also a GPS handheld with a launch monitor built in rather than a simulator-first unit, which is why it reads cheap next to the rest of the table.
SkyTrak ST MAX

The ST MAX product page contradicts itself. Its marketing copy says "dual Doppler radar and high-speed camera technology"; the spec table further down the same page says "Technology: Photometric Camera" and "Location: Indoor". Both strings were on the page on September 22, 2026. We are not printing a tech answer until SkyTrak corrects one of them.
FlightScope Mevo Gen2

Current units we could not date
These are on sale right now and their product pages were live when we checked. What is missing is a release date the manufacturer published anywhere we could find. They are off the table above rather than dated from memory or from a review site.
rapsodo.com has no newsroom, and none of the 48 launch-shaped posts in its blog sitemap announces the MLM2PRO.
