The pattern is clear: “3-hybrid” spans roughly 19–21° depending on brand. That difference is enough to shift carry distances meaningfully. If you are gapping by distance rather than by club number, loft is what you need to match across your set.

Why there is no “average golfer carries a 3-hybrid X yards” table here
We looked for a population-level amateur hybrid distance dataset that could be cited with confidence — something like the Shot Scope or Arccos data that underpins the main distance chart. No such dataset exists that we can attribute to a primary source for hybrid distances broken down by hybrid number. What circulates online is typically extrapolated from iron data, averaged from a small reviewer sample, or simply undocumented. Publishing an average hybrid carry table from those sources would be presenting guesses as data. We do not do that.
